Dr. Alessandro Gallo graduated in Milan in 1988 with a thesis on the radiofrequency system of the Superconducting Cyclotron. Since then, he has been continuously working at the INFN Frascati National Laboratories on radiofrequency systems, beam dynamics, beam diagnostics, fs-scale synchronization and machine run coordination. He led the accelerator division radiofrequency group for 15 years, working on internal projects such as the collider DAFNE and the multidisciplinary test facility SPARC_LAB, as well as taking part in international projects, e.g. the CLIC test facility CTF3 at CERN. He has also been invited several times to lecture at the Cern Accelerator School (CAS) courses on topics ranging from RF systems to beam loading and fs synchronization systems.
As of December 1st 2019, he is head of the Accelerator Division.
